    Medical Minute: Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)

    In the United States, more than 125,000 children are hospitalized as a result of RSV and approximately two percent die each year. Respiratory Syncytial Virus or RSV is the most common cause of severe respiratory infections in children and babies in the United States. The virus usually resolves itself, but can become fatal when it is severe or leads to complications.
