The Iowa State Patrol says at least 8 people have died this travel weekend including two Iowa couples.
Friday night, 42-year-old Lori Mendez died when her car slid into a dicth and rolled over on a highway 30 in Boone County.
Saturday morning, 30-year-old Samiel Langstaff and 29-year-old Jacqueline Langstff of Indianola died near Washington in southeastern Iowa after a 17-year-old driver ran a stop sign.
Also, Saturday morning near Kendallville in northeast Iowa 50-year-old Richard Wierck and 51-year-old Donna Wierck of Fairbank died when their motorcycle hit another vehicle head-on.
Another crash in Bremer County closed part of Hwy. 63 Saturday afternoon for about four hour north of Denver. Authorities haven't released the dead woman's name.
They've also not released information on three other deaths across the state.
