The United States Postal Service says it's closing a Des Moines Processing Center.
The processing center at 920 Morgan Street closed for good on Friday. An employee cleaning out the center on Sunday told Channel 13 more than 20 people lost their jobs because of the closing. The person tells us the service will now be done by machine in Wichita, Kansas.
If you need to pick up items requiring signatures or packages too big for your mailbox, you will need to go to the post office at 2323 Forest Avenue near Drake University.
