Two Iowans are among the 11 people injured in Florida over the weekend after the boat they were riding in exploded. Authorities say the group was aboard a 33 foot Sea Ray when it exploded and burned Saturday afternoon in Tampa Bay.
The boat was anchored in three feet of water near Beer Can Island. Thirty-six-year-old Angela Meyer and seven-year-old Logan Meyer, both of Denver Iowa, were among the six people seriously injured in the blast.
They were taken by helicopter to Tampa General Hospital.
