Firefighters were on the scene of a fire in Colo for several hours Monday night. Investigators say two people were in a home on Warner St. when it caught fire around 8:00. Both people escaped safely.

Investigators say the home does not have electricity, and the owners were using a wood-burning stove for heat. A pipe in the stove apparently broke and started the fire in the attic. The home is considered a total loss. Red Cross is on the scene, helping the owners find a place to stay for the night.
