A head-on collision near Millville has resulted in the death of a Holy Cross man.
Lee Zuercher was killed early Sunday when an auto heading south on U.S. 52 crossed the center line and smashed into the 41-year-old Zuercher's northbound vehicle. Authorities say Zuercher was not wearing a seatbelt.
Twenty-one-year-old Sarah Austin of Luana, the driver of the southbound car, and a passenger in Zuercher's auto, 18-year-old Coedy Zuercher, were injured in the crash.
Austin was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A hospital spokeswoman did not have information on Austin's condition.
Zuercher was taken to Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque. His condition was not available.
Authorities in Clayton county say the accident remains under investigation.
