The Iowa State Patrol and Jasper County Sheriff's Office have released the names of those involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Jasper County.
According to the Jasper County Sheriff a 1980's blue Chevy truck registered to Roger Hofer,47, of Cambridge was driving recklessly when it side-swiped another vehicle driven by Karen Finch, 39, of Baxter. Finch's vehicle was forced into oncoming traffic and was hit head-on by a vehicle driven by Erica Tafford, 26, of Baxter. A passenger in Finch's vehicle, 64-year-old Barbara Purtilo of Newton was killed.
No charges have been filed in the accident and the case remains under investigation.
