Governor Culver tours flood damaged Cedar Rapids Wednesday and will later be joined by his predecessor, former governor Tom Vilsack.
About this time last year, Cedar Rapids was hit hard by rising floodwaters that forced thousands to evacuate their homes. Wednesday, Culver is meeting up with U.S. Housing and Urban Development secretary Shaun Donovan, Iowa congressman Dave Loebsack and head of the Rebuild Iowa office Lieutenant General Ron Dardis.
Later in the day, former Iowa governor Tom Vilsack, now the U.S. Agriculture Secretary, will join the group for a news conference.
