The Hamilton County Sheriff's Department says a Florida rape suspect has died in Iowa. Officials found 43-year-old Kevin Bordwell's body on the side of the road in Stratford late Wednesday night.
Law enforcement officers say he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Bordwell was suspected of raping a nine-year-old girl at gunpoint earlier this week in Florida.
Iowa officials say there was a note in Bordwell's pocket with a name and number of who to contact about his death.
