The H1N1 virus is spreading across the state quickly and causing headaches for many businesses. Wednesday night more than 80 businesses are watching a webcast about H1N1.
Safeguard Iowa and the Iowa Department of Public Health are offering the webcast, which is providing information on how businesses can prepare for the H1N1 virus in the workplace.
The webcast is offering suggestions on an array of topics such as hand sanitation and sick leave.
"Part of it is even just sharing information between businesses so that they can brainstorm and bounce the best practices back and forth," says Jami Haberl with the Safeguard Iowa partnership.
The most common questions Safeguard receives involve Human Resources and legal issues for extended time off for employees.
There is one more webcast scheduled for next Tuesday. To register go to www.safeguard.org.
