Beginning tomorrow, same sex couples will be allowed to legally marry in Iowa. Gay couples from neighboring states are planning trips to Iowa to take advantage of the state Supreme Court's ruling.
According to "Gay Chicago" magazine, a number of Illinois couples will be in Iowa Monday to get married. They will be joined by couples from St. Louis. The "River Front Times" says fourteen same sex couples are preparing for a trip to Iowa.
Gay marriage opponents will also be in Iowa tomorrow. Gloria Villanueva of Bonaparte is urging Iowans opposed to gay marriage to hold prayer rallies at their county courthouses at 7:45 tomorrow morning.
