A personal finance website claims, overall, Iowans feel pretty good about their economic situation. MainStreet.com ranked Iowa second on a national survey of economic well-being it dubbed a "happiness index."
The index considers household income, debt, employment and foreclosure numbers. Nebraska is the only state that appears to be happier than Iowa. People in Oregon, Florida and California are perhaps the saddest, at the bottom of the list.
