Family and friends are still trying to find a metro man who has been missing since Saturday. 29 year-old Bradley Paullin was last seen walking into the woods near 2600 Shawnee in Des Moines.
"He had tons of friends. He knew everybody," said Melissa West, who attended Winterset High School with Paullin. Wednesday morning those friends turned out by the dozens to try to find him. "He would be out searching for us," said West.
More than 50 volunteers made their way through the wooded area where Paullin was last seen Saturday after a disagreement with a friend. "They didn't think anything of it because sometimes he does that kind of thing, and just wants to be by himself for a little while," said Paullin's mother, Loretta. But when Brad didn't show up for work on Monday, Loretta and her husband, Bob, said they knew something was wrong. "He works hard, but he plays hard too," said Bob Paullin. "Its just been one big nightmare. Everyday that goes by it just gets worse," he said.
Brad is the couple's only child.
Police say they've tried to track brad's cell phone signal, but its so weak that they can only determine its somewhere between Warren county and the city of Johnston. There's been no activity on his debit card.
If you have any information about Bradley Paullin, contact the Des Moines Police Department at 515-283-4811.
