Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is getting a lot of attention from her new book, "Going Rogue," but a Des Moines Register poll shows Iowans may not be on her side.
The poll of 800 Iowans found 55-percent of people had an unfavorable opinion of the former Alaska governor and John McCain's running mate. Thirty-seven-percent have a favorable opinion. Eight-percent aren't sure what they feel about her.
According to Des Moines Register political columnist Kathie Obradovich the numbers might not be a sign of how Iowans would feel about her in a presidential race.
"What this means is when people know them, know their names and have a feeling of like or dislike. You know when you think of liking someone it doesn't mean you would like them to be president, so you really have to take these numbers as a small, general idea if these people like these folks at this point," says Obradovich.
The Register poll was conducted over the phone and has a 3.5 percent margin of error.
