Pawlenty In Iowa: Possible presidential candidate in 2012 makes his first solo visit to Iowa
Possible 2012 Republican Presidential Candidate and Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty came to Iowa and then came after Democrats for the way they are running the country.

Pawlenty said, "Are you sick and tired of the Democrats trying to ram down this liberal monstrosity, which is their health care reform? Are you ready to fight back?"

Pawlenty tried to convince about 700 Republicans at the "Leadership for Iowa" gathering at the Iowa State Fairgrounds Saturday night that he shares their values from the heartland. He also borrowed one of Barack Obama's campaign slogans and put his own spin on it. Pawlenty said, "Instead of asking, are you fired up and ready to go, I'm going to ask, are you fired up and ready to fight back?"

Six Iowans running for governor next year also later took the stage before the crowd.
