A man led police down metro roads and even a bike trail to escape Wednesday.
The chase started near Fourth and University and eventually led a caravan of police cars down the muddy Trestle Trail bike path.
With his rear wheels disintegrating, the driver attempted to turn on Lower Beaver Road and spun out in the ditch. Police officers swarmed the car and 40-year-old Steven Adcock surrendered.
He was wanted on burglary charges in Muscatine, Johnson and Clayton counties.
