Police say 34-year-old Robert O'Ryan tried to bust onto the set of 'Dancing with the Stars' to meet Shawn Johnson. Thursday afternoon, he appeared in court to face the music.
O'Ryan is charged with one count of stalking and two counts of carrying a loaded firearm. Los Angeles Police arrested him Monday after reports he was trespassing on the 'Dancing with the Stars' set, where Shawn Johnson was about to perform.
A search of his car turned up two loaded guns, duct tape, zip ties, love letters to Shawn and news clippings about her.
O'Ryan allegedly told police Shawn was speaking to him through the TV and he planned to have a child with her.
Channel 13's Keith Murphy spoke with Shawn on the phone Wednesday night and told him she is doing OK.
Shawn Johnson's parents have been awarded a restraining order against O'Ryan, and Thursday a judge agreed to a request to increase O'Ryan's bond from $35,000 to $220,000.
If convicted, O'Ryan could be sentenced to four years in prison.
