A Knoxville alternative high school teacher is on paid leave after being charged with sexual exploitation by a school employee.
The Marion County Sheriff's office says Justin Mikels was arrested Friday. Knoxville superintendent, Randy Flack, says Mikels has been on paid leave since early October when the school received a report of inappropriate conduct with a student. Flack would not say what kind of conduct Mikels may have had with the student or the student's age. He did say the district's considering more serious consequences against Mikels.
