You'll notice some toy trends, if you hit the stores for Christmas shopping this weekend.
Clive Toys 'R Us Store Manager Jimmie Giardina says some of the new toys are old favorites. He says Transformer toys are hot this year, thanks to the new movie. The nearly $100 Constructicon Transformer lights up and makes sounds. He says Star Wars is also popular, including a Legos set that allows you to recreate scenes from the movie.
He says another trend is toys that aren't that expensive. Kids are asking for Bakugan. You can take the figurines into battle and trade the cards. Those sell for as low as $5. He says no matter what toy you buy, make sure it's appropriate for the child.
He says, "You want to find a toy that's not only going to develop your child, but it's going to be able to be used and it's going to be there for them, you're not going to have to put it away and dig it out."
Another new toy puts your brain waves to the test. It's called Mind Flex and it has new technology that uses your brain's power to lower and raise a ball as you put it through an obstacle course.
